STHS Teacher Amanda Petroff
Senior Profile: Kylie Ables
Kylie Ables is a senior attending Southern Trinity High and is soon to graduate. This is her first year attending Southern Trinity High, but previously she was an outstanding student at Fortuna High and McKinleyville High. She says that she enjoys the whole experience of high school. She played one sport, which is rugby. She plans on going to College of the Redwoods for two years then hopefully transferring to a University in Idaho to get her business license. She does not plan on returning to this area but there is always a possibility.
The advantage of being a senior according to Kylie is that she gets dismissed earlier than the rest of the classes. But the disadvantages are that she now has to go on into the real world and live on her own. In ten years Kylie sees herself owning her own bakery, with a family and a nice piece of property in Idaho. She is excited that she has to graduate but at the same time she’s nervous. Kylie is nervous because she believes that she is not all that ready to be on her own. Her advice to us underclassmen is “Don’t screw around, it doesn’t work in your favor. Trust me!!” Kylie wanted to add that if it wasn’t for her family, she wouldn’t be where she is today, going after her dreams, and achieving goals! I wish you good luck!!
